A few guys I work and fish with have a little challenge to see who can catch the most species of fish in Utah in a 365 day year. The purpose is to get you out more, and fish for things you might usually not target. It is so easy to get caught up with your favorite lure, lake, stream or spot and not expand your fishing. I find that is the case for me because I don’t like to get skunked. Growing up in Idaho and Utah I fish for mostly Cold water fish and never got after the Warm water fish until this challenge.
So my question for you all is how many species have you caught this year (in Utah or otherwise)?
Here is my list since 1 Jan.

Yellow Perch
Splake Trout
Tiger Trout
Bear Lake/Bonneville Cutthroat

But you mark my words, my Game face is on now, I just opened up a king size can of whoop A**, schools out for the summer, plenty of vacation time to burn, sending the kids to military reform school for the summer, and the Wife ran off with her Latin Lover once she heard i would be fishing all this summer, i am ready to Fish, come January 1 2008,my list of fish caught will be so long, that the Big Fish Web site’s is going to crash.I am ready to Rock (you guys buying into any of this yet) [;)]
