Slow Morning at DC 12/31/09

I just got home from Deer Creek on the Charleston end. There was about 6 inches of ice where I was fishing. In about 3 1/2 hours of fishing, I managed 3 bites. The first one ended up being a 16 1/2" brown. The next, a pretty nice rainbow about 17 inches. He broke the line as I got his head out of the hole. And finally, just as I packed up my gear, I got a bite from a 15 inch bow. All in all it was a very slow day for DC. Hope someone in the other half dozen groups out there did better, but I didn’t see anyone else doing so great either.

Nice report

if i may ask, what types of bait was you using? we are heading out in the morning.

I have been fishing with two hooks in line… One with Powerbait, the other a jighead or ice fly tipped with worm.
