Three of us had a great day on Scofield wed. We caught 47 cuts and rainbows and one chub. Most of the fish were 13 to 16 inches with several around 2 #. The big fish of the day was a 25 in. Rainbow. Tipped the scales at 8 plus #. Great fish great fight and released for my next time there. Water wa 51* and close to 90 % full. Looked for some chubs for bait but could not find them. SCOFIELD IS LOOKING GOOD. oh did I mention only one chub
Great report. How did you fish it?
You’ll find plenty of chubs in the river just below the dam. Put a little piece of worm on a small hook and knock yourself out. Right under the bridge is a good spot. A little bobber helps. If you’ve got some kids take some ultralites; you’ll all be giggling.
Nice report. Glad you had great success. But, Scofield and the river below are loaded with chubs.
Moat of the fish were caught on white or pearl sparkle tubs tipped with chub. About 1/3 were caught on yellow garlic power bait. 15 ft. of water near shore. That one chub gave her all. It was a she because there is no such thing as a male chub. [pirate].
