My fishing buddy has come down with an illness so I am looking for someone else who would like to go ice fishing Saturday. I am fishing in the morning and need to be home by 4:00 PM. I am taking my ten and eleven year old grandsons. I have three options and I live in the Woods Cross Bountiful area:

  1. Leave home at about 6:45 AM and fish a body of water that is close by. I checked it out today and there was 2 1/4" of ice, which will definitely be thicker by Saturday. No charge for gas.

  2. Leave home at about 5:30 AM and fish a lake in the Strawberry area that has about 12" of ice on it. $20 charge for gas.

  3. Leave home about 6:30 AM and fish Mantua. $10 for gas.

If anyone is interested in joining me (safer with another adult, but I won’t be needing any other assistance with the two grandsons) please send me a PM.

I was thinking of heading out to Mantua Sat. morning if you would like to meet there, I live in Layton so it’s not a far drive for me I was thinking on getting there about 8:00. Would you like to meet somewhere then head out on the ice, say the city park off 89…i’ll bring there Irish coffee[;)]. Let me know what you think.
