Arrived at the ramp at 7:30 headed out just South of 3 points. 17’ of water, fish all over the finder, all morning, any where from 8’ - 14’ down. Bites were few and far between. tried several different jigs and baits. more bites came from rainbow powerbait or night crawlers. Total for the day…5 fisherman, 1 fish. It was a fat 15"er and tasted very good last night.[;)] Back to the 5 fisherman, only 3 had bites! We were fishing 10’ apart, wierdest thing I ever saw. 3 left on their own to check out other areas and depths. any where from 9’ - 25’, and at least 6 different areas 4-5 bites between the three. Dont know if the very full moon from the 2 previous nights made a difference or not. but very sloooow for us. Stayed til 1:30, at least 10" of very solid, clear ice with 2-3" of cloudy ice on top. 6" of snow with no SLUSH, at least on the way out. Comming in found a few areas with 1-2" of slush that just made our snowmobile slide a little. Weather wise, had some clouds in the early am, and a little snow. After 11:00 the sun came out and it got warm real quick. A very nice day for being on the ice!![]()
Nice I will be either there or jordy tomorrow. It surprises me that you only caught the one fish. One thing i noticed from the last time I was there the bite was super light. If you were not payn attention you were missing bites. I also would give the jigs action every couple min. or so. Glad you diddnt get skunked.[;)]
