Saturday am was overall pretty slow but at least got out to enjoy a little sun. Fished from 7:00 till 10:30am
5 perch with 4 small and one at 12". This fish was completely devoid of eggs (already spawned?). One rainbow at 19" (and quite chunky) and one trout that broke my line after see-sawing it on the bottom of the hole.
Although I only spoke with a few groups, I saw zero fish caught and everyone reported no bites.
I fished in about 35’ with waxies and a gold Hallie and also a mini sized kastmaster.
Ice was holding up very well (14"-16" - bring your power auger) and no problems at all with the edges. Snow machines and wheelers didn’t seem to have any problems although I just walked on at the west side third turnout.
