I have heard a rumor that the road to and from Renegade as well as the parking lot are all torn up for resurfacing and impassable. Does anyone know if there is any truth to= this and if the ramp is available?
Renegade Marina (Renegade Point Boat Ramp) at Strawberry Reservoir is currently open, but the parking lot is a dirt and gravel surface as the asphalting process was delayed. Paving operations are expected to happen soon now that conditions are dry.
Ramp Status: The boat ramp and wedge dock are open and usable.
- Parking Status: The lot is currently dirt. Crews previously closed the site in the spring to pave and paint the ramp itself, but the parking lot resurfacing is scheduled for completion later in the summer. [1, 2]
- Prior Construction: The U.S. Forest Service previously closed access in early May for heavy equipment to repave the boat ramp. [1]
- Recent Upgrades: The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) has included Renegade Ramp parking and dock improvements in their statewide boating access initiatives to modernize the site. [1]
