My wife and I got up to mantua around 8ish last night, was a bit slow at first but we moved a little bit and started getting lots of bites. We were using worm and bobber on one pole and were casting out perch rapalas on the other. We wound up catching 4 bass and 5 sunfish in that hour, while receiving nibbles and bites throughout. My wife actually reeled in a sunfish on the rapala, which i have never seen before. It was a very fun night!
Good report I’ll have to get up to Mantua soon I have yet to fish it this year on the open water.
I’ve actually caught both bluegills and perch at Mantua on my perch rapala that were smaller than the rapala I was using. They are aggressive little guys.
