I hit the pumphouse tonight for an hour or two. I had several bites but was only able to hook a couple of bluegill and a crappie. The gill were tiny so they went back. The crappie was pretty small, but big enough for me to keep. Unfortunately, that was it for the night. Oh, well it still tasted good, and it was my first crappie, so that was exciting.
The ice is still well over a foot thick. The fish were a couple of feet off the bottom. I fished an ice fly tipped with a wax worm. I would have stayed later, but I was alone and that place was giving me the creeps.

What and where is the pumphouse? I have never heard of it. Maybe it has been talked about before, but it has been a too long since I have been fishing or on the BFT site. Congrats on the Crappie. I want to hook into one of the fat crappie I’ve seen pulled out of pineview this year for my first.
