Anyone been out to the pumphouse the last week or so? Wanted to know how thick the ice is? Thinking about hitting the ice early Friday morning not real interested in Scofield if I can avoid it.
I was at a/f harbor Saturday and I saw two boats break thru the ice im sure the ice is just as bad all around the lake my advice is to stay off the ice at u/l I wouldn’t have even made a fishing report except I really really don’t want to see someone go thru the ice!!!
I agree. Stay off the ice at UL if there is any it isnt safe.!!! Even right after the deep freeze a guy went trough the ice at the gates trying to get to the pumphouse. That was two weeks ago. I havent looked for a week but the ice didnt look too good then and there was open water on the main lake.
There is no ice to speak of in AF harbor and the north part of the lake. IF the wind blows tonight, what is left on the lake will blow off.
If there is no safe ice yet does anybody know when it usually does have safe ice?
They already had safe ice a few weeks ago, but it is gone now. Last year it was locked up around the 15th, the year before as well. This year most are saying it should be good around the first of the year if we can get some cold coming thru.
