Has anyone been up to Porcupine? If so, what are the ice conditions?
Purcupine is deep and is a late freezer, so it will probably be another 1-2 weeks.
Hey Brandon, do you guys do any good Ice fishing up there? I’ve never been there during the winter.

If you catch the kokes at the right time, you can catch as many as you can handle! There are also some nice bows and browns in there.
I’ve caught some Bows in there , but haven’t gotten into any Browns. That would be cool.

The browns i caught were about 5-10’ off the bottom and i caught them on 3" glow tubes. Just drop a lure to them when you see them on your sonar. Some of them in there are over 10#! Someone from this board caught one last year.[;)]
I’m going to try that next year.
I’ve had good days and bad days. It’s really hit and miss. Like Brody said, there are some big browns in there, but they sure aren’t easy to catch!
I have only fished it once, and that was last year through the ice. I did however get into a few kokes. But the highlight of the trip was catching two big browns on a double rig. One took my kastmaster, and the other took my ice fly!
