I saw a bunch of people out on Pineview this weekend. Anybody have any idea about success?
We went to Pineview Monday from a little after 7am until 2:30 pm. We were focusing on Muskie and got one follow up. Then we tried a little for bass and trout during the last couple of hours. We caught nothing. The water temp in the bays got up to about 57-58 degrees and up to about 52 in the main lake.
i have yet to see trout in pineview. but thanks for the report i am thinking of hit pineview friday.
there are indeed a few in there and they are BIG, but you have to hunt them down
I have seen 1 Bow come out of pineview. It was about 18 inches. One of the little boys i was teaching how to fish caught one.
Back in the day, Pineview was a trout lake and you could catch limits in a few hours if you knew how to fish for them. It is a better lake now with the tiger musky in it but ever so often someone catches a nice bow or brown. Here is a picture of one that was caught a couple of years back by a former member. 25" bow
I went up today and hunted muskies for 3 hours. I had three follows–one was huge–kind of scared me sitting in my pontoon with my legs dangling in the water. Nothing landed. I did have one very large tug on the fly (bass streamer) but that was all. For the last hour I tried for crappie–nothing but little perch and a carp. Oh well.
