Anybody still fish the crappie spawn at Pineview? I used to go up in my canoe each June, but haven’t heard much in quite a while.
I can’t speak for this year, as I have not attempted a trip yet, but the last 2 years have been a bust because the weather just hasn’t cooperated. The weather cools off and the water temp goes down a little, then they just don’t come back in the high numbers. Not sure if they spawn deeper, or don’t spawn. But if this weather holds warm there should be a good spawn this year??
I do know there are pleanty of crappie still in the lake still, cause I can hammer them on the ice.
