I’ve never been to Newton…yet. I tell myself every year that I’m going to go up there but tourneys get in the way. I didn’t even know it was that deep. Do you have some pictures you can share?
It’s not always that deep. It gets drawn down pretty badly by the end of the summer. It may only be 20 feet deep in September.
I agree with everbody that says wakeless only. I dont fish newton much anymore in the summer because of that very reason. That lake is way to small for the amount of pleasure boaters that go out on it.
It needs to be. Maybe they’ll start charging to launch someday. It seems like a free launch is why everybody goes there to wakeboard. I just think it’s funny that these people have $50,000 boats, but they go there to save $10. I guess they blew all their money on the boat. All those little Preston area lakes need to be wakeless too.

I kind of think lakes designated just for pleasure boaters would be nice - no fish. That way they don’t have to dodge fisherman and fisherman don’t get all upset about being crowded and trampled over on lakes with fish.
That would be good as long as they make the fishing lakes no water sports after they build it.
