HI everyone! I had a little bad luck while I went on my trip to Louisiana…:frowning: Someone stole the 1997 15HP 2 stroke long shaft dolfin Mercury Motor right off my boat! I live in Northern Utah so it may show up anywhere in Utah or Idaho I HOPE! I will post the serial numbers and a better photo later. But here’s kinda what it looks like. If you see anything that looks like it or know of anyone who just got a motor about 2 weeks ago PLEASE give me a PM!

First sorry for your loss.. and your first post had to be about the low-lifes that have crosssed your path.

After filing a police report you should start calling Pawn shops and see if the it’s been pawned.. then also alert them with a description & serial # of the motor.

Also check Craig’s List and Ebay.

Hope you get your motor returned or find it!!

Just a thought, but if the motor was on your property, won’t your home owners cover it?

Home owners is a $1000 dollar deductible… because the motor is a 97 doesn’t really get me anywhere.. It was a babied motor and to replace with a motor in similar condition would be around 2000-2500 Insurance doesn’t see it that way.
I do have another motor but I’m gonna try to find the thief;)

I understand. Ours is $500. bu they would replace it so I thought I would bring that up. Oh and ours is a 25 year old pampered Honda. They don’t build em like that no more.[;)]

I Hate thieves, I had some of my flyfishing stuff stolen out of my Tacoma last year and it still bugs me.
hope you find it.

Don’t forget to check KSL.com too. They will likely try to unload I fast for drug money vs. putting it on their own boat. Good luck.
