Thought I would get in a quick fishing trip this morning before the rain tomorrow. I couldn't believe how low the water was especially considering how high it was just recently. I caught three crappie off of one blow down and and picked up a couple more off of a point with a bream and yellow bass mixed in. I bass fished half the time but they didn't want to cooperate - a big zero. These "yo-yo" water levels have both me and the fish out of sorts a little. Here's a pic of a 1.8 lb. crappie and another decent one. I caught the bigger one on a white Road Runner curly-tail in about 10 feet. I've got an assortment of Bobby Garland goodies ordered so can't wait to see how they work for me sometime next week.
