Hey my fellow anglers, any spring time tips for cats & bass im thinkin utah lake or hittn the river.. Any advice would be nice thank you…
certainly others that can tell you more about UL than I.
As you’re probably looking at early ice off - might want to find somewhere downwind/downcurrent, and maybe you’ll find windblown winter die off - minnows, shad - whatever. And the cats may be scarfing them up as the water warms.
I think UL has some inlets that may well provide some warmer water. Though I think it’s still to cold for them to be really moving to the shallow spawning haunts they’ll be headed for in the next month or two.
Yeah i know of plenty of good spots for cats, and white bass. Just around Lindon and Lincoln Beach. Do you fish on the shore, or from a boat?
The Jordan River is good for Black bullhead catfish right now. Hit it around dark. Look for reeds and a curve in the river. Toss the worm on the bottom and wait.
I will be looking for White Bass myself again on Sunday at Utah lake.
