Finally got myself out on the water after weeks of work. Hit Mantua in my tube at 5:00pm hoping for a couple hours before the storm hits. Launched my tube on east side and kicked way into some deeper water. Quickly found hoards of bluegill. Could not keep up with two rods so settled in with one. Easily caught over 80 gills in the two hours I was there. At times, pulled about three per minute. Kept 20 for dinner. Also managed one bass and one perch. Would really like to try to get a few more bass, but not sure best way to get through the gills to them.
Good work that will be some awesome eating. Pain in the but to fillet but well worth it!!
