Does anyone know if lost creek has safe ice on it yet.
Last year it was one of the last lakes in the area to freeze up - about Jan 15th-ish. East Canyon, Echo, Rockport all had safe ice before it did. Not sure if that is normal for Lost Creek or if it was just an off year.
I fish LC every year and it’s usually New year’s or later
Last year I fished LC from the East shore on a partially frozen lake more than a week after Christmas, and hunted rabbits the same day. There was deep snow already.
How well are the slot limits working? And can you drive around pass the parking lot during the winter
Check out the ksl outdoors segment on Lost Creek on. YouTube. Last year the snow was too deep to get past the parking lot.. We caught a few slot busters near the dam.
I drove up to Lost Creek on Friday 15 Dec. Not even a hint of ice. I didn’t drive to the boat ramp but from what I could see from the dam there was nothing. I hit E. Canyon the same day and NO ice there at all. I fished the bank at East and only had one hit off Powerbait. When I went to Lost Creek I fished the creek itself and managed a couple of pretty bows in 45 mins of trying.
