Just trying something new tonight. I am going to bring live updates while on the ice. My friend and I are fishing the pumphouse and have 2 gills on the ice. Keep you all updated. Let me know your thoughts as well.
Are you right up against the pumphouse on the left? If so, that was me with my kids and Doc Veha there earlier. I think my one son is not going to be a fan of fishing. His little brother can’t wait to go again. He landed a ton but I only let him keep the 10 biggest.
Yeah that is us. We are doing well so far. My buddy has iced 10 gills. All near the bottom. I have caught 4 gills most of the suspended 5 feet of water.
Well we moved locations and put up the shanty. New location new species. Have hooked up 2 small white bass. Still by the pumphouse just moved a little more towards the grate.
Buddy just caught a crappie. So that makes a 3 species day so far. We have gotten into the small white bass. Sun is setting and hopefully the fishing continues to stay hot.
The fishing has slowed down quite a bit the half hour. We caught some small white bass and some gills but not at the same rate as before. We are using grren and glow and glow ratfinkees tipped with waxies in 13 feet of water.
And we’re done. We caught close to 50 fish between the two of us. Mostly gills but caught some whites and a crappie. Good night of fishing. Hope that you guys liked the live post. Let me know your opnions. Thanks

That was cool, thanks for posting your live updates and report with pictures. Next trip out you should consider calling into the live radio show on AM 630.
It is definitely a ton of fun over there by the pumphouse. Next time you go out, you can typically find the yellow perch inches off the bottom. I caught a few today and kept a 9 incher.
Where is the pumphouse located that everyone talks about? I have been taking a 4 year old with me and would love to get him into some fast action.

It sounds like this pump-house place is the happening spot for the fishies at UL. Would any of you guys that fish here regularly mind helping someone out who doesn’t know the area very well? I’m planing on coming down from the Ogden area sometime later this week and if you all could get me some directions to the pump-house I’d be very appreciative.
