Killed em' at the Berry'...

Me and my buddy hit the Berry and boated around 50 Cutts’ most were at the top end of the slot with a few over. Great day, not too windy. We were gonna try and troll up some Kokes’ but the fishing was just too good to move. We’ll have to get the Kokes’ another day. Mostly jigging 3" white tube jigs tipped with sucker meat or nightcrawler. When the wind picked up we did some drift trolling. Didn’t matter what we did we caught fish. All fish caught were holding between 10’-20’ and most were caught around 10’.

Nice! Gotta love those big cuts. What part of the lake were you fishing?

right on, you guys did a heck of alot better than we did, this is the second trip up there this year for us and both times we have fished the soldier creek side and have caught way less fish than we normally catch on the strawberry side, looks like we need to fish over there. Thanks for the report

OH!!! How nice, I wasnt invited today!!! HAHAHA just giving you crap!!! Glad you guys got into them. The Berry is a beatiful place, I need to make it up there at least once this year. Hope we can hook up and hit the water here shortly!!! Great report and awesome pictures Mike!!! Keep up the good job on the water and tackling them “punks” down in SLC!!!

That sure is interesting that you were catching them so shallow. I would have thought that this time of year that they would be much deeper.

Great report remo … makes me REALLY look forward to a trip that I and my wife have planned for a week from now. Hope our report will be half as good as yours.

They were really shallow, especially when we were drift trolling, we would get a bite and set the hook and they were already almost to the surface.

Nice report, Mike… by the way thanks for the help… I took my mom and grandpa up yesterday and fished… we started out across from strawberry marina and caught one fish… then we went to the ladders and caught four fish… then we went over to where you had suggested and caught about eight more … we came up with a total of about 13… my mom caught one by herself but couldnt reel it in herself, it ended up going about 23, my grandpa hooked into two and then fell asleep on the boat…
the rest were caught by my wife and sister in-law… we didnt catch as may as you guys but we had a great day… thanks again… AJ

We were on the soldier Creek side also. Boated 2 nice cuts and 2 Bows and 2 15" Kokes which is what we were after anyway. The fish really diddn’t want to play till after 11:00 then we started catching but had hard commitments to leave at noon. I would have liked to get more Kokes. The Kokes were caught 30-40’ down everything else was shallow. I am headed back up on Tues. I hope to find the Kokes still there.
