Made it out to Jordanelle, and it was a great day. The rainbows were hungry and were hitting my white tube jigs non stop. I fished from 9:00 till noon and landed close to 20 fish. Half were planters and the other half were fat 17 to 18 inch big guys. For a while I was fishing two rods, but found I was missing more than I was getting ( I guess I am not that coordinated) so I went to one, which increased my hook up rate substantially. I first tried tipping my jig with a meal worm, but a night crawler seamed to get faster attention.
I was hoping to find some perch, but to no avail, if anyone has a helpful hint on them a pm would be appreciated [:)]
Hey
I am going to try Jordanelle this Friday for the first time in many years and was wondering which area would be best. I have a canoe that can be launched without a ramp and was thinking rock cliff.
just be careful driving out to the water at rock cliff. With the water being so low you will need to follow a muddy road out to where you can put your canoe in. Many have gotten stuck out there. But if you don’t drive it the walk is considerable especially if you are carrying a canoe. Good luck though. That is the area I was in with my canoe and the fishing was great!
Was that you in one of the tubes??My buddy just got a new bass boat and we wanted to try it out before we head to Powell tomorrow, in the 30 min. we had to fish we got two bass..
