went down for an hour to a spot on the jordan close to home that ive never fished and found a nice deep spot and it was one after another with white bass that were all atleast 12 inches and one 14 incher too, we werent going to keep any but they were good sized and healthy.
kept 22 and let go atleast that many. was getting em on a mini strike king spinner bait and blue fox spinners but i dont think it would have mattered cause they were hitting it like a top water when i would reel it on top. all in all it was funt o get on some whites its been a bit for that. thanks guys
We must think alike. I was going to hit the J for some whities last night but laziness took over. Nice work bro.
Very nice im having a hard time getting any of size since this spring!!
ya i was suprised too about it every cast when me and my dad had doubles we started laughing cause it was so rediculous. maybe going to hit it up again tonight if possible cause i want to get em on buggers with my fly rod so theres a little more fight to them. it seems like this hole could hold some monster cats too, its about 15 feet deep in the falls so its possible.
Good job, I havent been getting many bigger ones lately either and the ones I have got were skinny. You could read the newspaper through the fillets ![]()
nice haul, ive never got a white bass in my life since i moved here and they look like alot of fun. thanks for the post
I hit it tonight and got about 30 minutes of flingin’ wooly buggers with no luck, and 30 minutes of throwing a blue fox and brought 12 whities to the bank. Two of them were 12", the rest were little guys. They sure are aggressive little suckers.
sweet man hit it again yesterday with my boss and got alot of em, i lost count after a while but i got em on spinners and then stripping in a purple prince nymph emerger. pretty fun stuff.
Nice. I also went back this evening and was throwing a brown backstabber with a chartreuse backstabber 18" below it. I was hoping to snag a few carp, but the whities wouldn’t leave it alone. I also smacked one small largemouth. I got there about 4:30, used the fly rod until 5:45ish, then put a silver blue fox on. So many fish in there…
In two hours I caught well over 40 fish, and lost as many.
