and would like to join an aspiring FLW tour collegiate Bass club, I am the advisor and the club is looking to get this thing off the ground for the 2013 year…we welcome any and all to join…
send me your UV ID, name, e-mail, and address and I will get you more info…
By the way, I went to high school in a little town in North Central Arkansas named Flipping. You know what is made there? Ranger Boats. You know who started it? Forrest Wood, the man behind FLW tours. And I used to haul hay for him. I went to school with all of his grandkids. That man is one of the nicest, most down-to-earth person I have ever met. If you didn’t know who he was and met him, you would never know how much money he has; in fact, you wouldn’t think he has more than the average person. Just drives a red Chevy pickup (latest year model) and wears Wrangler jeans, button up shirts, and a cowboy hat. His wife is just as nice.
You must be a current student to join the club, but if you want to be involved stay tuned we will be needing many volunteers to make this thing something special for the kids of this state.
Hey I am currently in the process of transfering to uvu and have some friends that currently go there. i would love more info if you have any that you could pm me. i am honestly much more experienced with trout but i would love to learn! just let me know
The mission of the club is two-fold…we want to get as many people as possible involved in, and excited about bass fishing, and then compete on a local, regional and national level…little do many know, this is a great area to fish for bass. There are tons of LMB’s in Utah Lake, Deer Creek, Jordanelle and all the community ponds around here. What we plan on doing is teaching club members how to catch them at a very high level. Send me your contact information, e-mail and if you have a UV ID. We would love to have you.
if you are a UVU student you are eligible for the club…you may want to research the rules that govern clubs under FLW. go to FLW.com. I have no problem with a graduate student competing.
