FLW Utah Lake tournament

if you have a bass boat e-mail me…if they use you as a volunteer I believe they are paying 670 bucks if they use you all three days. This is a great opportunity to be a part of this great event, and grab a check. my e-mail is martincl@uvu.edu…I will forward your info to the tournament director, and he will contact you…if you have already contacted me…I have sent your info on to Troy and Kevin and they will be in touch

Thanks guys

Does it have to be a $50,000 boat or will my Tracker pro angler v-16 with a 40 hp motor and a 40 pound thrust electric up front work.

I actually asked them that very question today , I love fishing out of boats like that… so I will let you know what they say

I would love to just watch a few of them, I still haven’t caught a LM Bass out of Utah Lake. Need someone to show me the ropes!

when is the tourney?

Aug 29 - September 1

Sounds like a fun day. What does FLW stand for?

FLW in FLW outdoors stands for Forrest L. Wood who is the founder of ranger boats and a pioneer in the sport of bass fishing.

Ah. Thanks. I’ve always wondered what it stood for.

Hope you get some boats lined up. If I wasn’t going to be in Alaska chasing silvers I’d seriously consider it. Good luck.

So if they don’t use you all three days then you don’t get paid?

It’s 225.00 per day and they still need about 12 boats… At this point anyone who volunteers for all three days will likely be used all three days!

As you probably already know I have a boat. The only problem is I’m currenly overpropped, so when I have 2 people and gear in the boat my hole shot isn’t as good. I have a good top end speed but I’m hoping to get that issue resolved soon. I now know that I may need a 21" prop to get what I need out of the hole shot. Plus I’m trying to work out the work schedule details as well, so I don’t want to commit until I have that ironed out, but It would be fun to be a part of that tourney.

Shoot me a pm if you are able to!!!

flying into Salt Lake from Oregon for the TBF High School Western regional tournament on Saturday. Arriving Thursday morning and looking to prefish. Anyone looking to go out and fish with last years 2nd place H.S. national winner? Call my dad at 541-261-4103

I woluld also like to know the protocol as a spectator on the water, do they allow boats to hang around and watch on the water, certain distance to stay back, it would be fun to follow around a just watch.

You can be a spectator but you just need to give the anglers plenty of distance. Do you know anyone who can take Jacob out pre-fishing tomorrow? He’s a good stick!
