Place: Saleratus Bay ( Starvation)
Ice Conditions: 20 to 24 inches of ice. It is good ice. It will be there for another month.
We will be leaving Heber at 5 a.m. I will have 4 four wheelers with drivers transporting people to the bay. So be sure all your gear is bungeed down cause the boys will be drivin. If you travel on your own there is a well beaten path to the honey fishing hole. Bring all your lucky Poles and Jigs. Pikeman has a power auger all of you can use and good helpers to run it. I am giving prizes for the biggest and for the first one to 50. I am hoping that I get everybodies attention especially those who claim they are Perch ice fishermen. The plan is to fish till one o’ clock. At one we will give away prizes. Bring your own drinks and lunch as this year Mrs. Pikeman is out of commission.[:/] The plan is to have all the planets in line and stars. For all you guys wishing for open water stay on the porch or (couch) don’t rain on my party. LOL

I guess what I am asking for when I ask for avid fishermen is People who can finess the fish into biting when they are inactive. Your welcome to come"Troll". Heck I will even give a prize for someone who can catch a Waaaalleye. If you’re up for the challenge we’ll see ya there.
After Monday, I will be without an auger. Gotta take mine back into Cabelas…with that broken handle. But, if it looks like the weather will cooperate and if I can cancel my golf match with Obama I just might ride out to help with the technical stupidvision. Might even kick in with a few jigs for prizes and/or drawings.
I would love to have joined you guys but it is too short of a notice, I won’t be there until the following weekend. Already have plans to attend an SFW banquet in Wy. on the 27th.
Dan, We are leaving from the house in Heber at 5. Pac Fan, i guess you’ll have to read about the good time then. Tube Dude, i got a couple of young bucks that would be happy to drill you a few dozen holes. Them jigs are a prize any time you can get them. Anybody and Everybody is invited.
I will definitely try to make it. I may be out there before Sat. as well. I hope to be in close contention for some prizes… or at the least not get skunked… I do know how to reel up to the schools of cruising rainbows after my last trip a couple weeks ago with wet1. Hope to see ya out there[fishon]

I would like to make it as you know I try to make your outing every year, but alas, I will not be able to.
I will be in Heber most of the day, celebrating the new shop my friends are opening.

Can’t tell you how much I would like to be there. Haven’t been out with many BFT’ers and would like to meet a few. I’ll have to see if I can get the little woman’s permission. I will fish long a hard to win a TD jig or two.
Sounds fun! I will be there, leaving the Cedar Hills area about 430am (meet ya at the bay), I have a pwr auger and wheeler as well if anyone needs a ride or a hole drilled… Please let me know if I can do anything to assist… Never been there, but I have TD’s map so I should be good [;)]
Here’s another map with some directions on getting to the State Park Launch Ramp.
**Basically, get yourself to Duchesne on Hwy 40…past Strawberry. Just as you are entering the metropolitan area, there is a gas station and convenience store on the left…Sinclair. Turn left onto the PAVED road going back to the NW. Follow it to the State Park. **
If you turn onto the dirt road going up over the hill you will be heading toward Knight Hollow. That is a good place to go if you do not have a wheeler. You can go out onto the ice and fish many spots there as well as being able to hike across to Saleratus Wash. Not too bad, unless you are an old dude like me. Also subject to the road being passable and being able to drive down to the primitive state park area at the bottom of the hill.

Saturday is not a good day for me, if it was sunday I’d be all over it. Work on saturday won’t let me go until 1pm and then I plan on driving to the gorge for some more burbot fishing. Have a great time, maybe I can make the next one.
