Radios: Bring your radios. I will be on channel one. I believe they will transmit from the parking lot to where we are fishing. I am having some custom jigs flown in just for the party. These are worth the gas trip alone just to win a pack. Thanks to the fish Gods.[;)] Hope to see you there don’t be afraid to holler out to the boys on the 4-wheelers. Yes we will have plenty of holes. Now the weather is calling for snow but remember we haven’t had no snow all year. Besides that maybe the fish will bite during the snow storm. How deep is the snow on Starv? I was there about 2 hmmm 3? wks ago and it was snowing when I was there, and about a FOOT on the ground. I was in my motorhome and was worried about getting stuck at the bottom of Rabbit Gulch Rd. so I left…probably shoulda stayed ( hindsight). Snow seemed deep, I had already fished FISH LAKE and I was already happy. Didn’t even drive to the boat ramp, just went on to Strawberry and smelled SKUNK! Then got stuck in the “slush demon from HELL” at Strawberry. THANK YOU MR AIRBOAT DRIVER!!
There should be ALOT of good perch there (and a few wallys to) If the woman that loves fishing there almost more than she does ME wants to go…We’ll be there.
Is Saluareatusessserds Wash the MAGIC place? I thought Rabbit was hot? Seems like a long ATV ride from the ramp, but worth it if they’re there. Is the road across the dam still closed? Road plowed? If not, that would be the ONLY choice then I guess. More than likely we’ll be there cuz we’re new with BFT functions, and if one even seems “close” to a sanctioned event…lol.. DAV?.. then I’ll/we’ll be there! Hope the ATV will run right this time. Anyone else ever have trouble after getting one wet?
I have never had any experince with 4-wheelers after they got wet but maybe old bass-y-rods can chime in here and tell us. The day you stayed at rabbit gulch in your motor home that was me that pulled in there at 6a.m. We didn’t get much for snow that day. We probably won’t get much for snow on Saturday either. The road is plowed to the boat ramp. The road is closed for indefinite across the dam. I believe 9-11 took care of that. Yes we have been getting a few out of rabbit gulch but these fish over at the wash are virgins to the winter fishing. So if you know your stuff you will be there all camped out on the boat ramp. I really don’t care if I catch a fish cause I have already made up my mind.I am going to have fun just being at the outing. looking forward to seeing ya
That was you in the White Dodge ( I think that was the truck)…parked by the toilets? How did ya do that day? I felt REALLY stupid as I drove away. I drove a long ways to get there, camped out over night, and then LEFT at first light cuz it was SNOWING! Oh well, I’d been fishing for 3 days already by then and had enuff I guess. Sure woulda liked to catch some “keeper perch”. Still no definite YES from the GF about Sat, she doesn’t like the ATV on the ice thing…sez it “ain’t NATURAL” or something like that. If we make it we’ll be in the parking lot Fri, cuz neither of us work on Fri. No idea on how much snow is on the ice right now tho??
At least I am pretty sure that was you in the motor home that morning. But my truck is Red not white and Ford not a Dodge. The snow depth on the ice is about 4-5 inches. Maybe 7 if it drifts. Nothing that a 4-wheeler can’t get threw. I hope she grants your wishes. Like I say I will have the wheelers there so you can leave your trailer at home and the boys will mosey you on out. Now if you get there friday you can just go out from the boat ramp and maybe hit a few fish, who knows. Like I said before we got a few perch out of rabbit gulch and a few Wall-shhh-eye. The jet just pulled in and I received the custom jigs. These are jigs you can’t put a price on. But you will be one lucky perch fisherman if you do win them. Oh yeah and they do hammer the trout, the walleye, and the crappie. They’re so life like they look like they are breathing. Thanks to a very special dude. He is a great friend of mine.
YAAAHOOO…got the go-ahead, and we’ll be there Fri. pre-fishing and hopefully getting some (other than fish)

Me and the 'lil woman will be at the boat ramp, I’m guessing, by noon Fri. I got the ATV and all the stuff, including the kitchen sink. We’ll be in the motorhome (White) or on the ATV (red Polaris) and heading towards Saleratus, or for the day maybe just strt across to the cliffs. dunno. And you?
