Does anyone know how the ice conditions and fishing are at Rockport or Echo? Heading up this weekend for our first time.
Not sure about the Rock, I was on Echo last Wednesday and was killing the perch down by the dam in 30-35 feet of water. 4 of us fishing brought 60+ perch and 2 trout home. Was pretty much non stop action all day. I plan on heading up again this weekend and taking some of my kids with. If you want more specifics about what was working shoot me a pm.
We were at rockport not too long ago (last saturday) and fishing was alright. Perch were hitting pretty hard around 35-40 feet. We found a few warm spots where the perch were strong out past the 3rd bathroom coming up the freeway.
Lots of slush though. Shouldn’t be as bad now since the last little bit.
