Does anybody know ice conditions out at Echo? We were up there last week just as the warm weather started to hit and it wasn’t looking too good for the near future after that day. Just curious to know if it’s still safe around the edges or if we should hit Rockport. Thanks in advance…
hit ECHO yesterday on the way back from strawberry and the ice is good. only fished for an hr and got two good sized perch 10+" in 32 ft of water before darkness kicked us off. there is still open water from the creek coming in and a few spots on the west side but the east side is solid. there were about 25 or so fisherman out there besides us.
will be heading back this weekend for sure and spend some more time with the perch.
Thanks for the report, I’ll be there this weekend as well. Last time we were there it was a bit scary getting off the ice due to the large amounts of water being let out and the warmer temps coming in. We’ll cross our fingers for Saturday, thanks!
