<" }}^ >< Ice Fishing Tip #44

So you want to locate fish on a lake:
· You don’t have the time and or the patience to drill 5000 holes.
· You don’t have the latest modern technology.
· You don’t have a friend who knows the lake.

Don’t worry all is not lost. If you are not the first person on the lake then fishing near to (or next to when invited) other fishermen will be a big help.

Ok so you are the first person on the lake that day, now what?

The answer is simple all you need do is look for previously drilled holes, finding the hole with the most blood stains will give a hint that there are fish down below. Lack of bloodstains dose not mean that there are no fish down there, many fishermen toss their fish in buckets.

Several holes in the area, is a good indication of better fishing conditions below.
