We are headed to the berry Wednesday, hunting Kokes. Never have caught a Koke there. We have a boat, downrigger , somewhat of a fish finder and leaded line rods.
I am grateful for any suggestions. Particularly for this time of year, possible locations and depth. Trolling speed? Terminal tackle.

2.5" white sparkle tube on a 1/8 oz head tipped with a bit of chub meat. Cast out and reel in slowly, just ticking the bottom. Pause once in a while and feel for the bite. This is for share fishing. Bobber riggs also can work ok for cutts and great for bows using standard trout baits. From a boat, vertical fish. Same rig as above, pretend you are ice fishing. Fish are all over in there and can be near the surface or down deep. Some of the better places are the narrows, and the marina area. You can also troll and I am sure that some berry-smart guys will better inform ya on how to do that. It should be getting great in the next months!
If you troll make sure your speed is quite slow. Also some guys use ‘dodgers’ while trolling ahead of the lure they are using. Just like anything else, some days certain things work while other days it won’t. You just have to experiment. Most tackle shops are willing to show which lures work better of Kokes. Good Luck. Pop gear and wedding rings will work on leaded line . Try pink colors and let out some line this time of year . Last time I was there (about 3 weeks ago ) I caught my only koke at 60’ in 65 ’ of water out from Mud Creek , but have hooked them in Soldier Creek as deep as 90’ . I was using Rocky Moutain tackle in the pink colors . Dont be afraid to change color too if you have no success . My problem was catching mostly bows and cutts when I was looking for Kokes 
First of all, thanks for the link to your post. That is some good advise. A green double whammy wedding ring will also catch them at the Berry.
We will also be there try to catch some kokes. We will be in an old Reneill - beige and maroon. If you see us say Hi and let us know where are are seeing fish.

I would suggest going to the kokaneefishingforum, however, the admin cannot get it fixed long enough to keep the viruses out.
Try using RMT dodgers in hyper plad, or bahama mamas. Both in 5.5 inch, pinks and greens are great colors. Don’t be afraid to try different color schemes, purple and blue are great colors at 50 plus feet. Try using your spinning rods on your Riggers, use your lead core to long line,

My above post has was for Cutts and Bows…something other than you were looking for info on. Guess I need to read a bit more before typing. I know nothing about Kokes, hope someone with knowledge on them can help you.
