Great Fall Weather at DC

Couldn’t pass up the great weather so we decided to give Deer Creek a try. Got to the lake as the sun was coming up. Georgeous! Tried to find the walleye but kept getting trout. We eventually gave up on putting them back and decided to keep a couple for dinner. The wind never did do much, just a ripple. Left the lake about 1:00. We’re anxious for ice but can’t pass up the warm weather. We saw deer and a Bald Eagle. Great day.

Nice sized trout you got there for DC with all those new planters mixed in. I was going to head up there yesterday morning but will be up there tomorrow.

Were you shore fishing or on a boat? I have not made a trip there after they drained a lot of water out.

We were fishing from the boat. The biggest fish seemed to be along the wall by the railroad tracks. Lots of planters to sort through and put back. The ramp at the main marina is fine to launch from. Plenty of water and we think that it seems to be coming up.

Thanks for the info is the docks still out of the water? I am going to give it a try saturday evening on my way back from the berry. Gonna give the walleyes a shot.

Great pics, I didn’t know there was so much snow on the peaks with as warm as it has been.
