im heading up this weekend again, iv’e gotta catch some of those tasty kokes and smoke em up, so who’s all going this weekend so i can say hi when we pass each outher while we both have doubles and need to decide who gets the net? lol.
I’ll be camping at Mustang ridge for the weekend. I don’t have down riggers so I’ll probably stay near the dam end and jig for macs.
I only get to the gorge once a year so I don’t know it very well. I may run up to Sheep Creek and try for Kokes if they are shallow enough, any suggestions?
A few of the guys vertical jig for the kokes this time of the year, that might be your best bet without riggers. I’ve never tried it during this time of the year but I would think bright colors would work the best. Good luck and let us know how you do. WH2
hey troll, if you go for the kokes sheep creek area is a good bet, i havent been there this time of year though. but ive watched them go up the river there every year so i would suggest getting close to the inlet and try some spinners, or stay in 50ft of water around the inlet and jig off the bottom. i hope that helps you tight lines

I just got back from working in Rock Springs and I couldn’t believe the traffic going east on I-80 this afternoon . Can they all be going to the Gorge ? [;)] Good Luck on your trip .
I live next to the highway coming in to Manila from Evanston/Mountain View, and its been a steady parade all afternoon. Constant flow! I don’t know where everybody’s going to fit, but I’m sure glad I’ll be hiding out on the lower river all weekend! Definitely more traffic than I saw on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend.
Wife just got home from work in Green River, and said it was bumper-to-bumper from Green River to Anvil and Lucerne.
