Where should I go? I will be taking my Kick boat. Any suggestions? I live in Bountiful, Somewhere close would be nice I really dont want to go farther than the berry.

Why would you need to  Strawberry is great right now and only getting better.

Where would you say at strawberry?

Boats seem to be doing well at Haus and Mudd, Renegade is good and the Ladders always nice.
For free launching, Bryants Fork. I think that is where I would go.

I’m thinking somewhere closer now, like east canyon, deer creek, jordanelle, or rockport.

Good choices all three. I have been curious about Rockport myself.

I fished the inlet a few weeks ago at rp and did okay, all on nymphs though. And nothing bigger than 14"

But MAN, those 14" can pull! I was thinking inlet. How far a hike from the picnic area to haul a pontoon?

I usually park at the fishing parking just before the state park entrance, then drag through the field, its not horrible but I might go to the ramp next time to see if its easier.

Ramp would be a good choice, but so far from the inlet. I know there are fish all along there, but with flies, that inlet is fun.
I actually caught one of my biggest fro RP cruising the shore line last year at this time though. Plus make it to the outlet then have the weather change (which it does).

That is why I prefer to play it close to launch.

I hate dragging my pontoon through the grass though maybe I can find a better spot.

Shore fishing is picking up with the colder weather. Jordanelle or Starwberry wpould be my choice. Good Luck. Any day fishing is better than being at work.

Me and my buddy are going to try Scofield on Friday. Gonna be cold. But we’re hoping the big tigers are biting.

ever look at one of them nifty inventions - they call it “the wheel”. I’ve seen a few toons that had some sort of clamp on so they could roll on down, the schwing it aside.
never tried one, so wadda I know.

I’d be scared to drag an inflatable, but maybe you’ve got tough skin.

Good luck wherever you go. Hope to hear about some frisky fall fishies!

Now, figure out a lightweight, small, packable wheel for a “Frameless” pontoon.
No offense to anyone, but a wheelbarrow or a wagon will not work as I have a small vehicle and I would prefer to take the wheel with me.
