just announced…The UVU team will be fishing on its home turf
Could be very interesting !!! Will be looking forward to seeing how it goes ! Good luck to the UVU teams !!!
How in the world did you pull that off lmao !
Of all the great fisheries in the western U.S. they choose Utah Lake lol.
you guys outta clean house in that tournament, nothing like home lake advantage[;)]. go show em how we fish in utah. good luck
tightlines
haha i agree , maybe the old tubedude can get in on this one ,some maps or coaching , or maybe he still has some eligibility, look forward to the reports
Of all the great fisheries in the western U.S. they choose Utah Lake lol.
of all the great fisheries in the Western US I think Utah lake is right there…the bass are huge and plentiful…finding them and catching them is a chore sometimes, but there is quality and quantity in that lake.
Even Rick Clunn, voted the #1 Bass angler in the world, favorite lake is lake Powell. Or I could see the Gorge, But the real Question is Can Utah lake hold a 40 boat field for 1 day and give Utah a good showing? Good Job UVU kick some butt.
heck ya a mention of rick clunn, and if they bring in tubedude they will get some lunkers for sure,.RC and tubedude oh man come on!Wheres the weigh in?
HAHA no RC will not be there, I was just saying that his favorite lake was lake Powell.
Of all the the fisheries in the West Utah Lake is right there?? Are you kidding? Worst choice for a divisional I have ever heard… Maybe top five in Utah, top 50 in the west no chance. Love UVU and they are in An amazing position to win the west! Go Wolverines!
Interesting thing here is, the FLW applied for the permit and chose Utah Lake… Before I even started the club at UVU.. They applied in October and I chartered the club in November (2011)… I just found that fact out recently… I guess I obviously have some bias on Utah Lake Rick, but they must have had some reason for choosing it ![]()
You’re right for sure on that.. We have talked about it before i believe. I know you had nothing to do with the decision. I think it is an unbelievable opportunity for UVU bass club to really do well! I wish you and your team all the best. You have done an outstanding job with this first year club and are always a joy to be around. i didn’t mean to sound condescending.
You have been more than awesome to this club, and I always appreciate your input. I didnt take it that way at all…I just thought that was pretty neat they chose Utah, and then out of nowhere, not only did a club pop up, but…it won two qualifiers.
that has to be one of the weirdest coincidences of all time ![]()
Your going to see a lot of teams skunked on this one. Utah Lake has some real nice fish, but it don’t fish like most bass lakes. 95% of the fish are in 5% of the water. Maybe I’m wrong though. It could be that I tend to fish the same areas I’ve had sucess in the past for LMB. Any of you guys ever catch them in numbers on the main lake?
come on now we all know the A-rig out on the main lake is what is going to win this tournament. ![]()
GO WOLVERINES!!!
Water levels are going to be a big deal in this shindig.
Gotta love FLW!
HMMMMMM I wonder if I could trade a little info with the Cali and AZ teams?
This Could get good.
All I gotta say is how mad I am that I graduated from UVU in 2011, had I known a fishing club would be there in the future I would have stayed in college another 4 yrs:)!! Go UV
The water should be a nice shade of neon green for the TV cameras by the end of August. Pretty cool for you guys though. I wish ya luck.
we call it Wolverine Green ![]()
