NO deer creek isnt frozen yet. there is some ice in charlston bay but with the river running under the ice. it wouldnt be a smart place to go on. there is about 100 yards in walsberg bay. it just hasent been cold enough here in heber. hope this helps.
I walked out on the ice at charleston bay about a week ago and it appeared safe. There were several holes where people had been ice fishing but I could not break the ice in the holes to see how thick it was. (didn’t have my auger) It looked at least 4 inches, but like pikeman said it might not be safe in the river channel. I would hate to fall through and have the river carry me under, that would probably ruin my day. [;)]
