If the fishing licenses are 365 day how come they expire in 363 days? Also if kids can fish off of your license is there a minimum age the kids must be? For example I invited my friend fishing tonight and he says he has to baby sit his 6 month old. I said to bring her along that’s like a free second pole permit. He told me that’s not how it works. Just curious I’m not trying to take advantage of the system I buy a second pole permit and have zero kids.

Also, kids don’t “fish off” an adult license anymore. Kids under the age of 11 can fish for free, 12 and up have to have a license. For kids 12-13 the license fee is only $5 per year and anyone 14 and older has to pay adult license fees.
Leap year this year. It expires at the end of the day listed not the beginning of the day.
I bought my last Licence 5/22/11 (good midnight on that morning) and it expired 5/20/12 at midnight as it turned to 5/21/12. Because of Leap year I need a new license if I was to go today but otherwise the new license would be needed on the same day as last purchased.

No, it is one day earlier. The old, Jan 1 st to Dec. 31 not Jan 1st is 365…move the date and month and it comes out the same.
