I want to try out a fishing kayak. Anyone know of a place that rents them out or have one they want to rent to me for a day? Probably want to try it out at the Berry but even Little Dell would work.
I can’t answer your question but I checked them out on the Internet and they look like cool 1-man (or 2-man) fishing crafts. I’ll bet RockyRabb can tell you a lot about them. He sure likes his. The propultion scheem on them is quite interesting.
Born fishin has one too.
I can help a bit.
There are fun kayaks that can be used for fishing in a pinch. There are kayaks designed for fishing as well as fun. And there are hard-core fishing-only kayaks. Mine is one of the latter, but it might not be THE boat for everybody.
You can get a fishing kayak for $400 to $5000, weighing from 50 pounds to 200. It’s really important to compare before you buy.
I don’t know of anywhere in Utah that rents kayaks, unfortunately, especially this late in the season. You might be able to find a used one on various sales websites or stores, but what you find might not fit your needs or likes.
Little Dell would be a real hike right now.
Why a kayak?
PM sent.

These guys have some very reasonable rates for rentals in a variety of styles plus stand up paddleboards. Maybe invest in a couple rod holders as a start and try a couple out.
