This Jigs Instructional Fishing Academy trip was on the Native Sun out of Long Beach Sportfishing Berth 55. What a GREAT DAY on the water! We had a steady pick on Sand Bass with some Barracuda and a few Halibuts (mostly shorts). This was one of the nicest days on the water I’ve seen in quite some time, absolutely beautiful weather.
The jackpot was won by Janet McCormack of Riverside with a large Barracuda. Janet also caught two nice Sandies over 4 pounds. She did really well considering she’s just starting out. This trip converted a few more bait fishermen into die hard Kicker Jig fishermen, everyone on board put the Seeker demo rods to good use. All in all not bad for a 3/4 day trip that costs $40 and you get over $15 worth of free stuff.
