I hit Fish Lake on Friday and Saturday night with the fly rod and ended up catching 54 splake that ranged from 15 12/16 inches to 19 3/16 inches and the average fish was 16.4375 inches. I also hooked up, caught, and released one brown that was 15 9/16 inches long.

I fished from shore using egg-sucking leeches. Although I did see several large lake trout and splake that ranged somewhere from 7-15 pounds, I couldn’t get them to take. I would have pictures, but the flash on the camera wasn’t working…

That sounds like a real good time. I would love to get in on some of that action. Are you fishing through dark?

I start at dark and fish until I am tired or need to go home…both nights the fishing was good until I left.

Was Bassrods with you cause he is the only fisherman I know that has a measuring tape that accurate! :laughing:[;)]
