Those flatheads sure are monsters. Did you catch it off rod and reel or trotline? I’ve seen some nice flatheads taken on trotline when I lived in texas but I’d love to catch one over 30 pounds on rod and reel !

That particular fish was caught on a Penn 210 reel and a nightstik rod.

I’ve never understood why so many people come up to the Red River in Lockport to catch channel cats when you guys can find even bigger flatheads in your waters…
