EPIC DAY!!! Flaming Gorge July31

Hello, Im a long time watcher of the forum here, and I finally decided to join. I love to fish, anywhere, anytime. Lately (last several years), I have pretty much lived at Flaming Gorge on a quest to conquer the Lake Trout. Yesterday was one of those days where the dedication seemed to pay off. We fished for 5 hours total. We caught 13 Lakers, 2 of which were over 30 lbs. and another one was over 20 lbs. the rest were just teens or lower. Overall though I consider it to be an EPIC DAY of fishing. In fact, it was MY BEST DAY FOR LAKERS THIS YEAR!!!

I only have a few pics as of right now, but should be getting the others anytime now.

Ill be posting more about how I am doing here at the Gorge whenever possible. Im curious to know how all you other Lake trout freaks have been doing lately!!!

I say EPIC pretty much covers it. WELCOME and look forward to more adventures both Epic and maybe all others too.

Very, Very nice Fish..

Very very nice! Now you got me drooling…:sunglasses:

Sweet fish! All the time and effort has paid off! Watch next time you go you won’t get a single bite! Just kidding, most would agree one day your on fire and the next is what the hell?! Awesome and thanks for posting!

Pffft! I wish my first post was this amazing.

Nicely done. I need to catch a Laker one of these days.

Nice lakers!! I still need to check one of them off the list…hopefully soon.

That’s freaking rad!

Very nice. Capt. Clark are you related to the Sabey’s in Lehi ??
I know a Sabey here in town that used to chase the Lakers at the Gorge.
Keep us posted with your catches.

Nice fish, I would call that an epic day for sure.

Posting this link for Captain Clark. Ice fishing for Lakers. Some monsters! And most all will be pleased to see they go right back into the hole

Nice. Plus it looks like no wind at the Gorge. That’s a bonus!

Were you guys trolling or jigging? What ever you were doing, looks like you had it dialed in and tuned just right.
