went to echo sunday and monday didnt catch any perch talked to fish cop and he said the perch just arent showing up this year but did well for nice sized rainbows we fished right off the first pull out down the rock ledge the rocks are a little slick but my ten year old son managed just take it slow and we fished in 45 to fifty feet of water using diffrent colred paddle bugs pink and green seemed the best for me tiped with small salad shrimp good luck
For me the trout have been suspended between 15-20’. I did best with shrimp and a white tube.
I did catch several nice perch (8-12") but really had to work for them. They were there but just wouldn’t bite. Used a Hali with a waxie initially then switched to a perch eye. Was on the East side in 55’ of water. Heard there were perch on the West side but I didn’t have any luck when I tried it.
Good luck! Let us know how you do!
Went this past sat, 2 perch and a few nice big fat rainbows, fished 40ft of water, rainbows were at all depths from 10-40
[;)]Thanks for all the info guys, hit it this morning 07:30 to 15:00 and it was awesome. Great weather, good ice and lots of fish. Fished 42 feet of water and iced a lot of trout and perch even some jumbo’s, fish were still bitin when we left. I hate it when I have to quit fishing
, good thing there always tomorrow.[fishin]
How’s the Ice holding up there? I’ve been contemplating one more trip if it’s still healthy.
congrats on the success how many perch did u ice and any pictures of them jumbos
Ice conditions are great, 11" and no problems with the edges either. Theres not much snow and I really didn’t like dragging my sled through the mud but the fishing was worth it.
We iced 23 perch between 8" and 12 1/2" and probably missed another 30 or more bits, they were biting real light or I’m getting slow in my old age. Had to work for them and they seemed to really like a short slow jigging motion about 6" off the bottom.
Used waxies and small chartuse jigs under a castmaster.
Sorry no pictures, don’t carry a camera with me.
