jordanelle rock cliff arm is frozen about one third of the way out. there has been people out there fishing but i dont know how thick it is. rockport was almost all the way capped over but still had a couple of big open spots in the middle. i didnt see any signs of anybody on it. echo echo echo was callin my name so me and da bomb and prayin jay made it to our no perch holes and caught some 16 inch rainbows quite a few people at the dam area and quite a few people at the river inlet shallow area and a few tents in the middle where we were. 4 to 5 inches of ice just a warning to all ice fisherman i imagine if we give it another week of these temps everthing should tighten up but if there has ever been a year to becareful of diffrent ice thicknesses this is the year. i heard rumor that the ice out in the middle of strawberry was so thin that when the heavy snow hit it collapsed the ice. so im picturing snow cone ice. which would be unsave as hell compared to good clear ice. “Best fishes” For a prosperous new year.
