Duchesne North Fork Aug 27-Sept 5

Late report due to a variety of reasons. Got there on that Thursday afternoon just in time for one of the most horrific rainstorms I’ve ever seen in the Uintas. Relentless rain and crazy lightning and thunder. This lasted for about four/five days. Washed out Wolf Creek Pass and some roads nearby. As could be expected the fishing was non existent for almost a week. When I finally got out it wasn’t pretty. A few trout on san juan worms once the river cleared up a bit toward the end of my trip. Some pics of the flooding and when it finally cleared up.

I’ll be heading up to Jordanelle in a few days, hoping some fish want to play.

Those are the kind of trips I don’t enjoy at all, not sure I would have stuck it out that long. Were you there with a group?

I’m sure you will do better at Jordanelle.thanks for sharing your report and pics.

I was there with a group for the first five days.

From the pic, it looked like that. I can totally understand staying when you in a group. Can’t say I’ve even been in a storm in utah that has lasted that long, that is some crazy weather. Glad you did not get sweep away

I’ve been in some crazy weather before but those few days were brutal. Just relentless. I’ll go again. It’s absolutely beautiful and quiet.
