There I wuz, going bass fishing with Pat again today. I kept hearing about these 30 and 40 fish mornings and was lured into trying it one more time. Well, old Pat took me to the same old places that we didn't do any good on before and I kept after him until he finally relented and took me to secret hole #19. We ended up with 26 largemouth bass up to 3.25 lbs. I must confess that Pat caught most of them as he front ended me all morning. emoPoke But the old crappie catching emoTeacher finally had a few bass commit suicide and come into the boat, but I promptly threw the trashy green fish back.

We had a great time this morning. It was just chilly enough that the flannel shirt that I was wearing felt good all morning. Water temps down there were 75 degrees in one place and 72 degrees in another, according to another bass fisherman that we fished around. I don't know who was trying to get tips from whom?

The fish slowed down and we got hungry and quit and went to the hamburger place on old 41. Good burgers. Oh, we caught fish on topwater lures, chuggers and puppies, and weightless worms. Most on TW though. I'm gonna try this one more time. Next time I'm taking some perch colored grenades with me. emoPoke emoBigsmile emoGeezer
