Planning to take the kayak up to Deer Creek on Saturday. I normally fish Strawberry or East Canyon. Have never fished Deer Creek before. Any tips on what to use or where to fish would be greatly appreciated. Mainly targeting trout.
The Wallsburg arm is wakeless, you might want to try it out. Deer Creek is small enough and crowded enough with the power squadron that running a non-motorized craft can be scary. Also, there’s quagga mussels in DC now. The trout were suspending between 20-30 feet two weeks ago.
