I was able to fish for just under 2 hours, 8 pm - 10 pm, out at the knolls from shore on the west side of the lake. It’s about a 15-20 minute drive from home for me, which is great. I caught on channel cat right at 9 pm. I had one missed hit. I walked up to the truck to grab something, of course in that 30 seconds is when the meow had to hit, at about 8:30 pm and that was it. The bait was a chunk of 3" x 2" carp, it was about a month old and had been frozen and thawed out probably 10 times. It had lost a lot of scent but it’s all I had. This cat measured at just a fraction over 24". No mosquitoes, not sure if it was the repellent or if they just weren’t out but it was a beautiful, peaceful evening/night to myself out there.
