I know I have seen it somewhere on here, but where, close to 9000s, can I set traps to catch some chubs?

No place I know of in the valley. You have to go out of town to find minnows…Strawberry, Scofield, Electric Lake, San Pitch River, Sevier River, Settlement Canyon Reservoir (Toole) or some of the brackish ponds in the west desert.
There are also lots of minnows in the Bear River Refuge if you hit it right. Also some farm ponds and small creeks here and there. Most guys guard their private minnow holes pretty carefully. Too many of us have told one or two other people and then had our spots trashed by a horde of harvesters.
Use the “biblical system”…seek and ye shall find. But then, do not tell unto others.
