crossineyes and myself met up with fishley and had a blast.
fishley was already there fishing when we arrived at midnight.
the fishing was pretty steady allnight. Ashley slayed them, we ended the morning at about 7:00am with 63 burbot with the biggest about 22in. and the smallest about 10in.
went back in town to ashley’s house and made some plans to go out after some macks. thanks Ashley, you had the right idea to get the boat out and go catch some macks. I had a total blast thanks for hang’en out with us allnight and day. gotta come up again real soon and do that again. here’s some pic’s. later

I want to catch some Burbot. Too bad there in the Gorge but I would love to see one and eat one too.
How deep did you fish for them, aren’t they shallow this time of year?
Chuck sounds like a great fishing marathon![:)]

Sweet pics, thanks for the report, hard to believe that there are that many burbot in the gorge. With guys like you and Ash it wont be long before theres a dent put in em. What was the water temp? Thanks
You guys are killin me with all this F.G. fish porn. Here I sit in an office all day and you are slaying the burbot and holding big macs in every photo. Kudos you you!

[unsure] wish we could have held that one.
“hard to believe that there are that many burbot in the gorge.”
These pesky little critters have been in the gorge for awhile. They have just in the last two years, became a problem. The affect of having them in the gorge will take a few years to see. I love to see these guys get out and put a hurt on the burbot. I’m afraid that it will get worse before it gets better,as to thinning out their numbers.
yea the drive home was a real adventure, wait a minute, the drive there was the start of an adventure. 5 miles of black ice 200 miles of 2in. plus snow, yea, that was an adventure.
for the burbot we fished in about 17 to 22 feet of water with glow twister tail and sucker meat. for the macks it was tube jig in 80 to 90 feet. I’ll see if I can get back up the 19th and 20th. and we can do the same thing again. I’ll talk to ken or he can read it here.
later chuck
Looks like you guys had a good time despite the weather and bad roads.
At least it was somewhat warm. We had -30 at work this morning and the daytime high was -10. If these temps keep up and the w stays calm you might be on the hard deck on your next trip.
Later,
